I pulled the ripcord on my career!

Nearly twenty years ago I was enjoying success in my corporate career but something shifted for me.

I couldn’t put my finger on it at the time. I couldn’t find the words for it but I felt it.

So I walked away – I literally pulled the ripcord and left the corporate world.

It was only years later that I realised what was going on for me and I’m sharing it in this podcast episode.

Now let me be clear I was working for one of the world’s best employers at the time.

A Silicon Valley technology company that was a fantastic place to work.

It was only years later that I realised what influenced me to leave a highly lucrative career that I was succeeding in.

I didn’t like what I saw when I looked up.
What I mean by that is that I couldn’t see female leaders that represented how I envisaged my life to be.

In this episode, I share the personal impact of this and explore why it’s vital for organisations to create and promote positive working mother role models.

Let’s give ourselves, and others, relatable, positive and attainable role models for when we look up.

Because our daughters are going to need this too.
