That community is key – after all it takes a village to raise a child – but as most women strive to be independent and strong we’ve isolated ourselves along the way
Here at Wisdom For Working Mums we believe…
That the way we are approaching work and motherhood is crazy and unsustainable
That there is a better way but we have to change some of what we’ve learnt and been told
That community is key – after all it takes a village to raise a child – but as most women strive to be independent and strong we’ve isolated ourselves along the way
That a predominately female community can be strong, sophisticated and challenging whilst also being kind, collaborative and supportive
That we can learn from each other and we can share with each other, without unhelpfully comparing ourselves to each other
That being honest about the challenges we face as working mums is an important part of overcoming them
That we can hold different views on how to combine our work and motherhood without judging, blaming or shaming each other
That our community is everything and we work hard to protect its integrity. So behaviours that could undermine that integrity won’t be welcomed such as being mean spirited, dishonest and judgmental
We’re a community, reinventing how we combine work and motherhood without sacrificing our sanity and wellbeing.
